The next FrontEndNorth will now be in 2018

BIG NEWS! We’ve moved the next FEN from 2017 to 2018. The new date is Friday January 19th 2018 in the same wonderful venue of Sheffield City Hall.

So why the change?

We like to run events at Make Do but we’re also a web development agency with big projects, tight deadlines and a small team (PS we’re hiring). After much deliberation and discussions with the FEN venue we decided it would be best to give us a little more time to put on a bigger and better event rather than simply repeat what we did last time.

So, we moved the date from September 2017 to January 2018. We’ve also decided that the conference will now run every two years (bi-annually) in January.

Apply to speak, sponsor or volunteer

So there’s no more FEN 2017, we are now planning FEN 2018 and we need YOUR help:

  • Apply to speak – Last year, we had 14 awesome speakers – we’re hoping for the same mix of lighting sessions and long-form talks so apply with your ideas!
  • Request a sponsor pack – We can’t do this event without sponsorship! If you’re interested in getting hold of our new sponsor pack please get in touch.
  • Become a volunteer – Drop us an email if you want to help out. Our small army of helpers were amazing last year!

That’s all for now, keep an eye on the website and twitter for updates!

Make Do Blog Rewind…

You may have not noticed (we didn’t) but the last post on our Blog was number 100! So to celebrate this very small achievement we’ve dug out some of our favorite posts from the past 100 and will be re-sharing these over social media in the coming weeks!

What’s changed at Make Do since the COVID-19 lockdown?

4 weeks ago the UK was locked down because of the global COVID-19 pandemic. It has been a challenging few weeks for a small agency like ours but we’ve managed to adapt quickly to the change and remain productive in the ‘new normal’.
