With their design-led culture, NKD approached Make Do to completely overhaul their WordPress website. The primary objective was to take their supplied visual assets—including complex homepage layouts—and translate them into mobile-friendly, performant, and highly usable web pages.
This project required close collaboration. Acting in a consultancy role, the Make Do team worked directly with NKD to advise on best practice for implementing their intricate visual designs as scalable web-based layouts.
Once the designs were mapped out, our engineers created a suite of bespoke Gutenberg blocks. Each block was tailored to support NKD’s detailed visuals, ensuring their team had complete flexibility to build new pages while keeping content consistent and brand-aligned.
The end result was a visually striking, flexible, and future-proof WordPress website. By combining NKD’s creative vision with our technical expertise, we delivered a platform that empowers their team with full design freedom and a seamless editing experience.
