Salesforce CRM Integration and Workflow Transformation for Colt

Colt have been working with Make Do for a number of years, making use of our SLA hosting package and flexible retainer hours to support, extend, and grow their digital systems.

Their website runs on WordPress but has evolved into a multi-faceted platform with a range of integrations, applications, and custom solutions.

In 2024, Colt began a company-wide Salesforce integration project with our CRM integration agency. This required all existing sales and lead generation systems, both on the website and within custom applications, to be updated and connected to the new platform. It was an immense undertaking. Forms that had started life as fairly simple API integrations had to be reassigned, rebuilt, and redeveloped into complex Salesforce workflows. The work took months of redevelopment, testing, and rollout.

Make Do’s expertise as a WordPress integration agency and in custom application development was vital. We built bespoke systems to integrate directly with Salesforce, while also making effective use of off-the-shelf components such as Gravity Forms and Salesforce modules for Gravity Forms. This approach allowed us to deliver a mix of custom and rapid integrations that supported Colt’s new workflows.

This was far more than a simple CRM integration. It involved multiple languages, platforms, and department-specific workflows that were constantly evolving. Our SLA support package was heavily relied upon, covering everything from consultancy and visual design through to testing and QA.

The project rolled out gradually over a period of three to six months and is now fully integrated, bringing major transformation to Colt’s business and a highly successful implementation of their sales workflow.
