Updating Design Without Disruption
Palram’s 2024 rebrand required a complete visual refresh across their complex multilingual WordPress multisite platform.

Palram have been a Make Do client since 2019, with their global website running as a highly customised WordPress multisite installation. In 2024, they underwent a full visual identity rebrand, requiring their digital platform to be updated across multiple languages, regions, and bespoke systems.

The task involved far more than simply applying a new logo. As part of the rebrand, our team rolled out new fonts, colours, and identity guidelines across the website’s templates and layouts, as well as within custom-built applications. Key examples included the Where To Buy product locator, used extensively by their USA team, and the Downloads system, a bespoke API-driven document management tool. Both required updates to remain compliant with the new brand.
Because we had already been managing Palram’s platform for years, we were able to navigate the complexity of legacy Gutenberg blocks and previously developed custom features. Many individual pages had to be carefully reviewed and edited to ensure brand consistency.
To deliver the rebrand smoothly, we created a staging copy of the entire multisite and implemented a strict content freeze on the live site. Through careful testing, trial and error, and phased rollout, the new brand identity was first applied across the English-language site, before being extended to other regions, including right-to-left (RTL) languages.
This project was funded through Palram’s existing multi-SLA support package, allowing it to be delivered without additional cost. The final result was a seamless transition that updated a large-scale, highly customised system without disruption or downtime.
