Successful projects we've delivered
The Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership is working to protect, preserve and enhance this unique and varied landscape with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
We worked with the DVLP team for over 6 months to create their beautiful new responsive website. The result is an easy to use and easy to manage website that the team love to update.
The Fun Palace events run every year over the first weekend of October. In it's first year there were hundreds of local Fun Palaces across the UK and beyond.
The system is built around powerful and heavily bespoke WordPress implementation which allows users to register and create their own advanced event pages, integrate social media and publish updates to a custom Tumbler-style timeline.
Our team were invited to re-design and re-develop The Oxford University funded FreeSpeechDebate project in December 2014. The main goal of the re-design project was to create a responsive version of the site which looked great on any screen size.
The new site has over 1000 articles in 12 different languages and has almost 20,000 registered users who connect and comment on the websites topics.
St Johns Hospice
We worked in partnership with the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trusts marketing and fundraising teams to design & develop a brand new charity website.
The new site promotes hospice care services and publicises the teams fundraising efforts. Our job was to make a site which worked great on any device and was easy to maintain using WordPress.
Business is Great Britain
Working with an external design team we were tasked to develop a WordPress-powered micro-site for the Cabinet Office which was easy to manage and flexible enough to allow for rapid changes to content in a shifting political environment.
To achieve this we enhanced the default WordPress User Experience to make sure that updating content was simple enough that even the most non-technical members of the Cabinet Office team could get involved.
Charity Right: Qurbani
The Qurbani website was setup by the Charity Right team to facilitate specific online donations which happen once every year in September.
The project uses a custom WooCommerce build which allows people to donate in different currencies from all around the world. This project led to the development of the popular 'Gift Aid for WooCommerce' plugin that was developed internally at Make Do to ensure tax-free donations.
“Make Do joined us at the very beginning of our re-brand and worked with us from day one to ensure that our website reflected the identity of the charity. We couldn't be happier with the look and style of our website.
Tiny Hearts & Barnsley Hospital Charity project
“The process of developing our new website was clear, constructive, positive and actually enjoyable. The Make Do team were able to translate what we wanted from a website into the building of it - we weren't bombarded with jargon and terminology.
DVLP Development Manager
“The Make Do team are hotshots. They did things with WordPress we didn't think were possible. I would highly recommend their services.
